How can I not feel like the luckiest girl/ dog owner with him as my companion?
I'm so grateful to have him, he is one of the best things that's ever happen to me/for me.
He continues to make me happy every time he is around by just being himself.
I love him so much.

It would have been Freddie Mercury's 65th birthday yesterday.
The lead singer of Queen was an icon then and still is to many artists today.
His music, style, charisma will live on and be remembered.

Hey.
It's been a while since I've been here.
I guess, I haven't been inspired enough to want to write and share recently...until now.
This post will probably not have much on fashion related things.
Just me sharing some of my fav things, and how I'm doing.

So, Jack Layton eh? Geeze. I didn't know his sickness was terminal so the news about his death was quite a shock to me. How unfortunate. Canada loved him.
He seemed like a great man with many optimistic ideas. He created a glimmer of hope and inspiration in many Canadians even with the Conservative majority in front, and he set the NDP bar pretty damn high.
I will be wearing orange today (I should have yesterday). Rest In Peace Jack. You'll always have my vote.

My summer has been busy.
I'm working like crazy! There are two full time people on sick leave and a part-time person went away to school. So, needless to say it's hectic! I usually work 13-15 days in a row before I get two days off. When I finally get some time off I go camping.
I went camping at Sleeping Giant Provincial Park few weeks ago and it was wonderful.
The weather was perfect, there were no swarms of mosquitos, the lake was amazingly warm to swim in and the water was calm when I went kayaking. (Man, Kayaking is so peaceful).
Also, there was bonfires with friends and an abundance of food and alcohol. It was fun.

Oh, and I've also been running lately! How crazy is that?
Yep, about every second day for 30 minutes. I'm on this running program http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml that is suppose to gradually
"take you from the couch to 5k" within a matter of 2 months. I've been running for a month now and found out it's more difficult than I thought it was going to be but I haven't puked or fainted yet, which means I'm doing okay I think.
My lungs HATE me during the running, but LOVE me after the running. It's a neat experience.

I absolutely love Paramore's Album Brand New Eyes. It's one of those c.ds were I can listen to all the way through plus over and over again.
There are not a lot of awesome rocker chicks out there now-a-days. Most female artists in the music industry are pop singers, and there are definitely more abundance of guy rockers.
Haley Williams voice is strong.
My favorite songs off the album are:
Ignorance, The Only Exception and Misguided Ghosts. But like I said, I enjoy all of them.




I've been feeling this song lately.
Guns n Roses: Patience.
I have a thing for 80's music. Maybe my mom blasted it when I was a toddler running around the house. Not sure. But this song is pretty epic. Axl is sexy, and Slash is just way cooler then anyone else around.

Howdy everyone.
Let me start out by saying that my blog concept has changed a bit.
There are no 4 Fs anymore. Basically just food and fashion now.
I'm making it more simple.
I went thrift shopping a little while ago with the intent to buy one or two items with the 10% off coupon that I had, but ended up with a small shopping cart full of fabulous finds. I went a little over-board but the great thing is that three jackets, two shirts, 1 sweater, a belt, a pair of shoes and a purse all cost around thirty dollars. Thats as much as it would cost to buy one pair of pants at the mall.

I love second hand shopping! :D

Top six Hated Fashion Trends

Here is a List of Some of my all Time Hated Fashion Trends:

This list is not intended to hurt, offend or make anyone angry. Just a bit of refreshing ranting, some freedom of speech and expression of annoyance.

First, I will write six hated fashion trends, then an explanation to follow underneath.

1. Brunette Men who dye their hair with blond streaks, or tips.
2. Very Expensive deconstructed Jeans
3. Super baggy sweaters
4. Ugg Boots
5. Real Fur Coats
6. Harems

Explanations:

1. The look to me screams "boy band in the late 90's or Ryan Seacrest impersonator."
I say men should go with the flow. I find it more sexy when guys just sport what they have, whether it be an afro, long surfer hair or balding. It's about being confident in what you have, and who you are.


2. If you really like the torn, faded and ripped look then just buy a pair of thrift store jeans and do it yourself. They will be more unique and easier on your wallet.

3. Super Baggy sweaters do nothing for a gals figure. You can find a lose fitting sweater if comfort is what you are after that won't make you look like you are wearing a potato sack.

4. Ugg stands for Uggly right? Can you believe that these boots cost around 100-200 dollars? I'll give them some credit though, at least they look comfortable.

5. Fur is murder, didn't you know? How would you like it if I killed you for your skin. Just don't do it. Wear Faux fur please. :)

6. I have no idea why people would wear these pants. It's almost like an over-sized adult diaper. Did a genie create these pants so that he wouldn't be the only one wearing them?
